(Even on a Retina display, Worms 2: Armageddon loses a lot of detail when you only partially zoom out.) Worms 2: Armageddon has multiplayer options. The high-res visuals just pop off the iPad and look far more attractive on the tablet than the iPhone edition.

Worms 2: Armageddon, though, looks dynamite on the tablet. The touch controls are a little easier to use, especially when navigating the nuances of jumping, but I still struggled with the same stuff: ropes and jetpacks. This madness was built for a larger screen. However, Worms 2: Armageddon on the iPad (it is a universal app) is a bit better.

I wish it wasn't the case, but Worms 2: Armageddon is just not very much fun to play. In a two-player match over Bluetooth with another editor, both of us just grimaced as moves and shots were routinely screwed up.

Too often I would try to deploy a mine while flying and just end up dropping right on top of my deadly payload.
